I’m Freya and I absolutely love teaching at Alba English School! The staff and students alike are so friendly, interactive and fun. But, to be honest, as well as the amazing atmosphere and meetings lots of interesting people, I love the free tea and biscuits, my favourite being the jaffa cakes – you must try!
I was originally born in Edinburgh, but have now spent more than half my life in Glasgow, so it’s hard to say where my heart lies; I love them equally for different reasons, and I am happy to be a personal tour guide for you in both cities, as I now split my time between the two. I have spent time teaching in Bangladesh and Scotland, and I am currently studying for a Masters in International Development. For leisure, I love the outdoors, dancing, playing games, as well as, all things sporty, musical, creative and fun. I also love travelling and continue my quest to visit all continents in the world!
My favourite outdoor place in Edinburgh is Arthur Seat, the climb & getting to the top. The views are amazing and running back down is much fun. For indoors, there is a lovely little pub in Leith called the Roseleaf where you can play games and it serves cocktails in teapots & china cups!
